Hot-dip galvanising

Hot-dip galvanising is a process that provides durable protection for steel against corrosion. This service involves immersing steel components in a bath of molten zinc, which creates a durable coating that is resistant to weather and chemical factors. Hot-dip galvanising is particularly valued in the construction, automotive and energy industries, where steel components are exposed to adverse external conditions. Thanks to this technology, Eurostal customers can count on long-lasting protection for their products, which translates into lower maintenance and replacement costs.

Hot-dip galvanising process

Hot-dip galvanising is one of the most effective methods of protecting steel components against rust, utilising the natural properties of zinc. The process involves immersing pre-prepared steel in a zinc bath at a temperature of approximately 450°C. As a result of a chemical reaction, the zinc forms an alloy layer that bonds deeply with the steel surface. This also makes the coating resistant to mechanical damage.

The durability of zinc coatings, depending on environmental conditions, ranges from several decades. Additionally, galvanised elements can be painted, which gives them an aesthetic appearance and additional protection.

Thanks to the durability and properties of zinc, structures protected by Eurostal require much less maintenance. This means lower operating costs and lower expenditure on any repairs, which is particularly important in the construction, transport and energy industries. As experts, we realise that every industry has its own specific requirements, which is why we offer solutions tailored to your business. We can protect both small components and large steel structures.
